Texas Slim - Co-Creating a Decentralized Network of Beef Producers
Texas Slim is the founder of The Beef Initiative, a trade group dedicated to improving the quality of our food via direct market access and sound money. Slim was born and raised in the Texas Panhandle, where his grandfather stewarded the land he grew up on. He resides on the Llano Estacado, the Caprock of the Texas Panhandle, The Desert High Plains, and the end of the breadbasket. His ancestral family survived by farming and was near the Dust Bowl of the 1930s. Sim has a blue-collar background blended with a high-tech professional career path. He has spent years studying and understanding behavioral analysis and can disseminate a situation quickly.
In short, Slim has cultivated a very unique set of skills that most people do not have access to. He knows how to operate farming equipment and how to perform data analysis. He knows how to embed himself into different industries and can do it anonymously. Following his recovery from an injury and sudden illness via the use of pure animal protein, Slim became dedicated to exposing the Industrial Food Complex for what it is. Specifically, how they manipulate the laws, poison the food, and create false commodities to increase higher yields and higher profits for the global corporations of the world. In short, they are providing you a slow death and using your ignorance and your consumption as a tool.
Blue Lotus - Plants Don't Need Permission, Neither Do You!
Blue Lotus is the vibrant ringleader of the witty guerilla garden crew, The Vegilantes. They believe healthy produce should be freely available and combine the healing power of food and humor. Vegilantes may be spotted planting tomatoes behind fast food restaurants, rescuing seedlings from greenhouse composts or transforming vacant lots, because “Plants don’t need permission.” and neither do you. After the township interfered with a community garden created at her local park, Blue Lotus decided to plant free vegetables in her front yard. That idea grew into a produce trade stand to demonstrate mutual benefit to the neighborhood. It has blossomed organically into a diverse sidewalk market. This stand has served as a working example for her trade and barter website under development.
Inspired by the abundance of produce growing, she created a line of salsa and soups sold under the name, Cosmic Spoon. Blue uses her skills as an artist to create truth-based cards and stickers, available to download and print for free and never leaves without a pile of her own designs to distribute. She is passionate about natural medicine and works with a local hemp farm to help grow, process and sell their products, A-Z CBD. Most of her energy is dedicated to Daylight Rising, a radiant community of artists, musicians, teachers, healers, builders, family and friends, inspiring sovereignty through conscious creation.

In addition to leading school farm tours, teaching permaculture classes, and hosting wellness and yoga retreats, they are dedicated to building community through recurring Activation Empowerment Retreats at their farm. Together they host and teach a nature based homeschool co-op.
Paul is a certified yoga teacher, he has been a chef and culinary expert for over 30 years, and is committed to preparing only organic plant-based cuisine. He spent his early years in a remote, off-grid community, and has come full circle, raising his own young family on a biodynamic homestead.
